Has anyone any comments good or bad re these types of tuners? Ideally, I'd like a clear screen display (for my poor eyesight) and as they seem to range from about £5 - £30, I'm trying to weigh up the pro's and con's.
I was looking at the Snark SN2 which seems to rate very favourably with one exception, the grip round the swivel ball joint is prone to breaking, although it doesn't say how 'hard' they are used. The Korg AW2G also gets some good writeups, but there some downsides too.
As it's imposible to judge and read all the comments, first hand experience is better, so if you have any recommendations, please advise.

What one Tommy, the Snark or the Korg?

I've had a Snark for over a year now. Use it on various ukes, 12 string and six string acoustic and electric guitars - gigging and at home.
Wouldn't be without it. Looks a bit worse for wear but still works fine. Remember to change the battery regularly though.

i have been using the Snark for about 12 months, cant fault it ,realy easy to see on a dark stage as it lights up when in use
not had any issues with breakage etc.
it also works on vibration as well as built in mic so you can leave it on your headstock and silent tune all night
no leads etc to attach.will tune any instrument inc Brass.
if you look after it and dont drop it or stand on it i think it will last as long as anything else.
i paid around £12 inc postage. A bargain

Alan can I suggest that you have a look at the Peterson Stroboclip tuner.

It's more expensive but is very accurate, has a good display, and several useful features.

Roger, I once tried David Martins Peterson tuner at Newcastle and I felt as though the guitar was out of tune (particularly the 'G') throughout my playing. I seem to remember it tunes the string to the guitar type? It was weird, but who knows, maybe after spending some time with it, I might have got used to it, although it's hard on the eyes with those blocks moving around.

I have ordered the Snark as quite a number of folks have these and I think the display will suit me, thanks for all your input.
