Good news - Tilburg to continue

A little bird tells me that the Dutch Cliff Richard/Shadows fan meetings at Berkel-Enschot (Tilburg) are now definitely set to continue, starting with the normal one-day autumn bash in October. The events will now be run by long-time associates of the late Joop Moen, Piet van Dort (he who has always selflessly provided the gear for the second stage room) and Ferry Nice, the highly visible and well-liked presenter and stage manager at Tilburg for more years than he probably cares to recall.

Well done, lads and I'm sure the Shads weekends at De Druiventros will continue to be a success.

Having been to Tilburg many times this is great news and I'm sure the fans from the UK and throughout Europe will continue to support this event. It's allways a fantastic weekend and a chance for us to see bands we would not otherwise get to see in UK.

As you say Jim, Piet has allways put a lot of work into previous meetings and I'm sure Piet and Ferry will put on a good show. Hopefully I'll get there again next April and give them my support.

Hi Jim,

This is good news. I have been there in 2005 and 2009 for the April international meeting (I remember we met there), and hope to come again.

Thanks Jim. Great news indeed. Piet and Ferry and all the team know how to do and I´s sure they will take the event to the usual quality level. I hope to see you there again.

All the best

I've got to echo Jim Nugent's sentiments. The 2 persons mentioned were extremely helpful and encouraging when The Fentone Four appeared on the Bill for 2 consecutive years.Plus as a drummer they made good use of me on the Friday night session,

Long may this Dutch weekend continue.
