Agree wholeheartedly with the previous comments. 62....way too early to pass away in this day and age. I'm not ashamed to say that I love a lot of the Bee Gees / Robin Gibb back catalogue. His "Titanic Requiem" (reflecting a very long - standing serious interest & not some quick 'cash - in' for the centenary) is outstanding. So very sad that he has died as there was obviously potentially so much more music to come from Robin.

RIP Robin and thanks for the music.

It's very sad news about Robin. He had the most amazing voice like his brothers and they wrote so many beautiful songs. Hopefully the younger generations will explore their earlier recordings pre-disco too as there are so many lovely tunes that are seldom heard.

'Never Been Alone" is one of our favourite solo Robin tracks and shows the amazing range of Robin's voice where he was as comfortable in the lower registers as the higher ones

Also this clip to 'First of May' has some lovely footage of Barry and Robin in the late 1950s or early 1960s running around the suburbs in (Brisbane or Redcliffe) where they grew up.

I'm just a little young to remember the Bee Gees from that time performing in shopping centres but my husband and also my Mum can remember seeing them and there are some wonderful TV performances e.g. Bandstand showing how talented they were even at a very young age.

Echo the above comments - very sad. I loved the Bee Gees work in the late 1960s. I was lucky enough to see them at the Saville Theatre in November 1967 - only a couple of weeks after Robin survived the Hither Green train crash, which killed some of my school mates from Rye. (Robin later married Molly Hullis from Rye Grammar School who was with Robin in the train crash.) Robin's music will last for a long time - some wonderful melodies. RIP.
