Having dared mention Pinky and Perky last week, may I be so bold as to broach this question ?
Do any of you remember "Sir Prancelot" which used to be on just before the teatime news back in 1972?
Have you any idea who was responsible for the theme music ? I have tried googling the question but have been unlucky so far.

I remember it well and tried many moons ago to find it. Great stuff.

Many thanks to both of you, I had a feeling that it was somebody famous. Other sites actually mentioned Alan Hawkshaw, but somehow that didn't seem right. Great little tune isn't it !

Great TV tune.

Cool to hear it again. I wonder if that was one of those Coral Sitar/Guitars playing the melody?

I am pretty certain that I saw it in the Not On Your Telly music library earlier. I shall play it on next week's show if I remember (plus all the Brian Bennett/Alan Hawkshaw stuff that I didn't play tonight!!!!!).
