HERE I STAND

Does anyone have a backing track for 'Here I Stand'? I came across the tune only fairly recently and at first I didn't think much of it but, after a few listens, it grew on me! It was a duet with Jet Harris and Zoe McCulloch - there's a video of it on YouTube, and you can download the audio track for free from www.zoemcculloch.co.uk/shop. So far as I know, the BT which Jet & Zoe used has been lost. We have had a go at it at our club, but with just the two lead guitars and a rhythm guitar it sounds a bit 'thin'!

If nobody has a BT, is anyone willing to have a go at making one? I do have the melody and chords ('dots', not tab!) thanks to the Northern Ireland Shadows Club, who have it in their repertoire.

Cheers

Ken

I'm sorry, I don't have a backing track. I do know, though, that "Here I Stand" started life as "Jacqueline" in the late 1980's. It was performed by Jet and Tangent in late 1988, during a concert and was issued on the 1996 Tangent VHS video "Live Through The Years Vol.3" and the 1996 Tangent compilation CD "Live Over England".

PM me Ken.
You are so right. It doesnt sound a lot at first listen but it gets you in the end.

The BT currently around is the one I did with Salvo who plays the "Licorice" harmonica in the refrains and so copies the Jet + Licorice version.
It IS available without it if you wish.
Take a listen to the full sound file here and then you can decide if its the version you want. - http://www.4shared.com/mp3/J4kNyHek/HER ... __SAL.html

Let me know.
cheers
Ian
