Hi Guys and Gals. Does any one else think that the Final 4 Bars of Kon Tiki were added after the previous Track had been Recorded.I do Use a Meazzi Echomatic--But Getting The Echo Level On the Main Part to Match That Wonderfull Ending Repeated Echo seems Very Hard.--What am I doing Wrong ??

Cheers

Ian (Tommo)

Ian I don't think that there was any editing of the track.

One thing to bear in mind is that to hear the repeating echo at the ending, the bass rhythm and drums must finish abruptly with no notes left hanging on to 'cloud' the echoes.

If you are using the BT from UB Hank there is a cymbal strike at the end which does get in the way rather. You will notice on the original recording the repeating echo is all that you can hear.

Agree - no editing

Using EFTP or the ESE I can get the same result - you have to hit the last chord really hard and immediately damped. I always look forward to that bit when playing it live - the rest of the band is really tight with the stop and you're standing on stage and all you can hear is those marvellous repeats - wonderful.
