I wonder if Jet ever sanctioned this CD. If he did, I query why it wasn't released whilst he was alive.
Jet's head oh the cover shot looks pasted or photo-shopped in place!
Hmmmm, It's a bit puzzling.

I have ordered mine and I don't care if it is a bootleg or photo-shopped I'm certain it will be great and Jet would have been proud of it. I hope any profit goes to those closest to him. Thanks to all concerned. :D

Nivram, you delude yourself, - Jet did not want any of this released. I was part of the Shadows Ireland gig and in fact have a professionally produced video of the gig which has never been released because Jet did not wish it. This is a continuation of mister Campbell's cynical use of Jet's name to bolster his own image and finances which has caused distress to those closest to Jet. There will be many deceptions with this cd,not just photo-shopping pictures to change the world to Mr Campbell's vision of reality. I am offended that Leo's Den is promoting this cd,they must surely suspect that Jet never consented to it's release.
I will post seperate comments on the Jet gig in Dublin later, - the truth may leave a bad taste in the mouth of those who buy this cd.

I too doubt that Jet would have allowed this were he still around.

Hi,

Jim - I’m afraid that it does matter if the front cover has been photo-shopped. It appears that parts of Janet's photographs have been merged into others, possibly in an attempt to avoid copyright issues. I’m sorry but if Jet had been alive he definitely would have thought it mattered that someone had used these photos without permission. I suspect most of the people on this forum can imagine the response that would have appeared from Jet himself!!

Also, I can assure you that Jet would not have been happy about this CD!! I can’t say any more for now – for obvious reasons – other than to tell you that we know … we were there at the time!

Janet is receiving nothing from the sale of this CD. I must also add that the CD booklet states that “a percentage” of the sales will be given to the Jet Harris Memorial Fund. This is not correct. The Jet Harris Memorial Fund is in no way connected with this CD and would not accept any donations resulting from the sales. This is not a personal decision – it was a unanimous committee decision based on knowledge of the facts. We have also discussed this with Cancer Research UK.

Janet and those who were close to Jet during the last few years of his life are very unhappy about this. I’m sorry but I had to respond to this thread.

Best wishes,
Audrey

Hi Audrey,
Well said,I know you have as usual said only a tiny bit of what you could say. No jet or Shads fan should purchase this cd.

Are the recordings on the CD below Jet's usual standard?

The live recordings at the Shadows Ireland gig are below most people's standard. I can say this despite the fact I was playing on four out of the six numbers.
