Hi Tommo, do you mean the actual 1960 Lux recording or a recording of Midnight (although it wasn't released till 1961), its on The Shadows 50 Golden Greats track 5, from any CD shop. cheers Keith

I remember it well..............You can't beat trying to listen to your favourite record as it fades gently into interference and back, just as the record ends.

The joys of 208 medium wave. Kids today don't know how lucky they are to have modern technology.

Thanks for your comment Pat,

Yes the interference was a nuisance but I recorded most of the programmes on an old reel to reel tape recorder.

Happy Days

Cheers

Ian

I remember Radio Luxembourg quite well and it always faded out when a good record was on. Also back then Radio 1 played decent music while we were at work in the daytime and couldn't listen because a lot of employers in those days wouldn't let you have a radio on and in the evening when we were at home Radio 1 went over to Radio 2 and Sunday afternoons we had that boring old 'Speak easy' with Jimmy Saville instead of music.

Yes they don't know how lucky they are now.
