Is This That Color??

I wonder how many guitars of us can match this color.
I've 9 f red guitars from the 50's to the 90's and none of them is exactly the same in color....
It's a enigma....for me the 59 strat that Robbo showed us a while ago is spot on...just a few numbers away from the 34346,so maybe it's from the same paint batch of that darn red.... ;)

Hi Rob, without checking it against the picture of the guitar in question I would say yes it is, but you know how our eyes play tricks . . . . incidentally the '59 is the same shade of red as my USA '62 reissue and quite a few members here have those.
If you want to see that picture of the '59 Strat, it's in my pictures on this site, but I don't know how to link it to show you. Can anyone help ?

Dave:

The easiest way is to:

(a) in a separate window, navigate to the picture you want to share here

(b) right-click it

(c) choose "Copy image URL"

(d) go to the ShadowMusic post you want to make, and at the appropriate place in the text,

(e) click the Img button above

(f) paste the image URL into the space between the two sets of square brackets.

That's all there is to it.

You've posted the URL and that's fine.

If you out the url inside the pair of "img" tags (as described above), the image will appear in your post.

Can't get that together Jim, I'm missing the trick - here are the two guitars, original '59 Strat and my USA reissue from 1989. The '59 has the single ply pickguard.

Dave, thanks for your reply.
Those pictures are great and already on one of my hard-disks for many moons
I would love to see more of those, especially outside photo's because the window pillar(is this the right word?)is shadowing the 59 a bit...
The car from the clip is for sale btw just shy of 30k,cheaper then a genuine 50's strat in that color...I don't get it.... more paint for less ;)
Great to see everybody bend over backwards to help you out Dave! 8-)
Is that strat available for future photo shoots? Or was it a one-of? :?:
