Anyone worked with the Jamvox.. used for extracting guitar parts and leaving the backing intact?

Hi i bought one of the first from Nevada and it was awful, they said a lot of complaints had been recieved, mine sounded like water dripping in a tunnel , they gave me a full refund. Keith
