Anyone else bought this special edition by Guitar and Bass Magazine? (There is also one about repairs and modifications etc)

There are articles about British made guitars- Burns, Vox, Grimshaw, Zemaitis etc and British players, with some Shads/Hank references, although a lot of the material has been featured previously in the regular magazine.

Not a bad read on a cold Oz winter evening...

This is part of their Guitar Classics series, which is - as John says - reprints of articles from previous magazines, but a handy way of gathering them together. Did spot a couple of inaccuracies, though.

As well as the D-I-Y one which John mentions, there is also an Electric Guitar Bible, a Fender Guitar Bible and a Gibson Guitar Bible.

In keeping with others in the Guitar Classics series, some articles have indeed been re-printed from previous copies of Guitar & Bass magazine, but other features are actually all-new, including 'Local Heroes', which is a history of UK-made electrics. This latest issue is currently on sale in W.H. Smiths and the retail price is £7.99.

I spotted this a few weeks back but thought it a little over priced.

But couldn't resist it and picked one up in Smiths, today.

Some tasty pics. :)
