A Shadow of My Former Self

Postby Tony » 27 Oct 2009, 12:56

I recently purchased the CD 'A Shadow of My Former Self' which is Shadows style music written and recorded by Malcolm McEwan. If you enjoy listening to accomplished musicians playing our favourite style and with a great sound then I highly recommend this CD. I know it reads like an ad but hey... Malcolm McEwan has produced some great 'stuff' on this CD and I for one have not regretted buying it....

Regards to all

George, I hope you don't mind me answering Dave on this one but I've recently downloaded A Shadow of My Former Self. Dave, just Google "Malcolm McEwan" and that will find his website from where you can order/download his albums.
Someone posted a track from the aforementioned album here a while ago (or it might have been the old site) and I was so impressed I had to hear more. A great player with a wide range of styles.

Thanks so much Dave. I'm very pleased you are enjoying the albums. My writing and playing are heavily influenced by the Shadows in pariticular....and Mark Knopfler and John Farrar.
I'm pleased that you amongst others are enjoying someone else's attempts to keep the spirit going in an original way...or as original as I can fathom...:)

Best wishes

Malc
