NEW SHADOWS WORKOUT CD (No.17+)

Just finished listening to Ian McCutcheons latest Shadows Workout CD (No.17+), and just thought it was worth saying that the production on this latest one is terrific. There's a good selection of tracks too, something for everyone to 'workout' with, from the relatively straightforward to something that will exercise even the most accomplished players, certainly if they aspire to match the quality of this CD. Iv'e got several of these CDs now and they give me a lot of enjoyment, but I must say I think this is the best yet, both for production and variety.
Have a listen ....what do you think?
Richard

Yes what would we do without the likes of Ian!?

But who's going to do Hank's 'High Sierra' - been waiting so long for this one!

Already been done by Tony Kiek.

In my opinion this is the best of Ian's backing tracks. I particularly like the inclusion of "Twango" - one of my favourite Duane Eddy numbers, "Scotch on the Socks", "High Steppin'" and "Tokyo Melody"
Ian's output of BT's never seems to diminish and long may it continue.

Best wishes

Tony

Hi Ian, long time no see...

It's been 14 months since I last played and the tips of the fingers on my left hand have now gone completely soft :o . Haven't sold any equipment yet - just in case - but I am thinking of putting the Yamaha semi on eBay any day now

I agree with Tony - Workout 17 is superb ! - Twango is Excellent and unusual - 3 different styles - Duane's Twang, Chet's finger picking,
and Django's Gypsy Jazz (in small doses) Lots of other good tracks too.

I've done a Collab with a Duane fan in Italy Salvatore. It's over in the sound files .

Cheers Phil

Does the CD come with Tabs or is it just the backings.
As a newby I am learning a lot from Gorans tabs and backings but it does have a few tunes missing that Wifey is insisting that I try to learn, (She is a Cliff fan)
