Hello All
I am just recovering from a total hard drive crash!!! I have lost ALL my recording projects from 2004 to date - all I have left are the Master Tracks, happily stored on a backup.
My Adobe Audition 1.5 has also gone. I have no idea where the disc has gone either - I've had it for donkeys years and I think I got it for Free at the time.
HOWEVER - does anyone have one they are prepared to loan me / copy me / sell me etc etc?
cheers
Ian

Can you describe the 'crash' ? Was this drive the C: drive and the computer simply won't boot up? Or it boots but Windows won't start?
If so, it is possible that it is only a failure of the boot sector, or you've lost the NTLDR file. Even if your audio information was on another named drive (D:, for example) which is still part of the same physical drive, then there may be a chance.
If the disk were plugged into another computer (using an external caddy which connected by USB, for example) then the boot sector and Windows are not needed - the drive simply becomes a data drive and all your audio projects could be recovered (although you would still need a copy of Audition to reload on a new drive).

Thanks to everyone for their help. I'm amazed to find that Audition 1.5 is still FREE on t'internet and have it up and running.
I did get a trial DL of Audition CS6 on 30 days. Looks wonderful but can't see that it gives me more than my 1.5 for what I d.
Ray - very interesting. Would you mind if I PM you? I am not that clued up on commuters. So would like to understand what you mean.
Cheers
Ian

The newer versions of AA allow you live monitoring of any effects you use. You could use it on stage as an effects unit if you wished.

You'll find it here. I'm not passing judgment on anyone using stuff from this site. It's £4.
