I guess The Shadows did a lot of publicity interviews during their 50th reunion tour, but I thought this one was especially nice. Cliff paid Brian a compliment and put his hand on Brian's shoulder while he said it...I thought that was nice.

Kind regards,
Donna

Hi Donna
Thanks for posting. It's been a couple of years since I've seen it and it was great to watch again.

Another interview I really loved from around then was with Brian on his 70th birthday in Adelaide, Australia, 9th February 2010.

They were saying about the size of venues compared with when they first started in small cinemas but I would prefer seeing them in a small venue.
With large venues they are too far away and you can only see them on a screen. I remember seeing them in the Paladium in 1965 with only their backline sound with nothing miked and you heard them as they were.

That was heartwarming. Thank you, Donna.

It still annoys me and many others that certain former group members were airbrushed
out this tour ,and one of the reasons I didn't go and see them at any of the venues.
Politics maybe, anyway its history now.

Oh well, at least all of the then surviving members got a chance to appear together on Marty Wilde's 50th show..

I know there were hopes that other Shadows might have been involved but that was never going to happen.
The four people interviewed here are the four people who did the time.
I think Warren Bennett put it well when he said that he doesn't normally invite his former girlfriends along to his wedding anniversary celebrations!
