Sound card problem

Postby Tomlinson » 04 Dec 2012, 15:02

I just got a new "advent" computer with an integral sound card built into the Mother Board. When I try to record guitar tunes, the Short notes record OK, But when I play a fairly long note (Such as the First long note in Atlantis)--The sound recorder cuts out and sometimes even makes a low Phasing Effect. Can anyone Help ??

Cheers

Hi Ian , you may need to buy a seperate audio interface, basic ones are relatively cheap, or maybe one of our more knowledgable computer/recording members can point you in the right direction

Check the soundcard's settings.

It needs to be set to record in 44.1KHz, 16-bit stereo.
