Really enjoyed this song from John Farrar for ONJ and John Travolta. The video is a bit cheesy but enjoyable nevertheless. Typical John Farrar arrangement (which is a HUGE plus) and a hint of Mark Knopfler at the beginning. I'll be buying it.

Have found this photo of 'John Farrar' on the 'net. IS IT John Farrar? If so, I just can't see it! I see the beard is back (now white, sadly), but it still doesn't, to me, look like John. Mind you, I am half blind.

Just wondered...

No, that isn't the John Farrar who was in MWF, The Shadows, Marvin & Farrar, The Strangers, etc.

And this isn't me:

No, I didn't think it was. He has always looked very recognisable, even after all these year, and I can't really understand why Google throws this picture up when you type in his name. Just goes to show that you can't always believe what you read...

Along with Olivia and John's Christmas single, here is one that was released on iTunes a few weeks ago. It is called "Home For Christmas" and it is sung by Tony Rivers and his son, Anthony Rivers. For many years, Tony Rivers was one of Sir Cliff's backing singers. Hope you like the song. I bought a copy; it was sold as a two-song EP.

Kind regards,
Donna

"Never released as a single, but the Japanese record company loved it and included it on the album 'Harmony Works In The Studio 1971-1993', which was the third release in the series of albums by Tony Rivers. EM Records Japan. 1998 EM 1003CD.The lead vocal on most of the song is sung by Anthony Rivers. all harmonies are Tony and Anthony Rivers, all keyboards Anthony Rivers, guitar Tony Rivers."

Hi Chris,

That John Farrar is a Jazz musician in the U.S. It is a fairly common name of course...

Thanks, that seems to explain it. Still, a shame that a photo of 'our' John Farrar doesn't pop up when you type in his name!
