Pipeline 2013

Postby George Geddes » 08 Jan 2013, 23:38

Easter is quite early this year, and Easter Sunday coincides with the start of British Summer Time, so don't forget to change your clocks... you would not want to miss an hour of live instrumental music at this year's Pipeline Convention. Here's the lineup:
BOB SPALDING (The Ventures) backed by COUNTERPOINT who will also play their own set
THE DANGERMEN (top Finnish band)
LOS ROCKEROS ( from Spain)
THE CRICKETTES (all-girl band featuring Zoe McCulloch)
and last, but by no means least, your own, your very own..
THE SILVER SHADOWS

The usual stalls selling CDS & more; food and drink available, lots of other fans to chat to...

Venue is The Metropolitan Police Sports Club at Bushey, tickets £17 in advance, £20 on the door.

Very interesting that Los Rockeros have been included in the list, George. They are a great instrumental band from Valencia, Spain.

. . . . . . and not forgetting that multilingual compere, George . . . . George . . . . hang on, it'll come to me . . . . Geddes! Last year he branched out into vocalising with Iain McCutcheon's band Shazam for one famous No.1 instro (hint - "There's a moose loose"). What can we expect this year? Maybe "Er, say there Brutus, where is this kings pad?" or even "Wipeout!"? :-)

I do not disclose my financial arrangements, but there should be enough left over to buy a new tie...
