Does anybody else miss those early Shadows recordings where slight fluffs by Hank were left on the record? I speak of the famous missing note from ''Man of mystery. the fluffed lick on ''Stars fell on stockton. the string buzz on ''South of the border etc. This is partially why i love those versions better than any later re-recordings, They also made all of us budding guitarists love him all the more. HE WAS ONE OF US.

Hi,
I do love these fluffed notes on recordings too but my favourite fluffed notes are the ones played live especially when it's the same notes Thai have fluffed myself, Atlantis springs to mind when I saw Hank live in Carlisle. I walked out of that arena on cloud 9 that night, the man himself can fluff the same note as me!!!

Regards. Ian

'The Boys' features a fluff that can scarcely be heard without the use of headphones. With not being a musician, I am hard pushed to tell you precisely where it is in music terms. However, it lies approximately one minute forty seconds into the number and shortly before BB's fourth bash of the tympany.
