I'm going to see Tommy Emmanuel & Martin Taylor ("The Colonel & The Governor") at the Winding wheel in Chesterfield this coming Thursday. Anyone else from the site going?

Best wishes

Tony

Recommend this to everyone, masters of their craft. Haven't had the chance to see Tommy Emmanuel yet....Martin Taylor is a technical master but all the emotion is there in his playing as well; lead, rhythm and bass all performed at once by one guitarist - no loops, no backings, no mirrors!
enjoy! hope they come to Devon.... :geek: Rick

Saw them in Bristol last Thursday - we had front row seats. Third time of seeing Tommy E. live but first time I've seen Martin Taylor. Both fascinating to watch and an absolute joy to listen to.

We went last night to see them in Folkestone, at last two guitarists that play guitar whithout the noise. Fantasic sets.
Afer the show Tommy came and greeted those that stayed behind. I think they are in Crawley to night.

I agree with the comments made by Alan, Rick, Mikey and Spencer after watching Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor last night at the Winding Wheel. Two great guitarists who entertained and enthralled a very appreciative audience.
As well as CD's of both players - individually and together, their was some music/tabs of some of Tommy's pieces. I looked through them and decided to give them a miss - I know my own limitations!

If you have not seen Tommy Emmanuel before then I can wholeheartedly recommend doing so. Look at You-tube for video clips.

Best wishes

Tony

Saw them at Crawley on Monday night. Just wonderful. Their CD The 'Colonel and The Governor' is brilliant too.
