I note with great interest that "The Shadows The Final Tour" DVD / CD review was awarded four and a half stars out of a possible five by Roger Newell. ( Assuming "RN" is Roger Newell ).
Intererestingly, this beats Eric Capton and Joe Bonamassa amongst others.
Cheers, Alan.

Hello alan
As you may know Roger Newall is an avid Shadows fan and has done a number of transcriptions and BT's for the magazine.
Best wishes
Tony

I'd have given 10 stars if I were the reviewer.

I thought the sound was BETTER than the 2009 Final Reunion vid.

No, there is some sound distortion problems on Hank's guitar during the first part of the 2004 "Final Tour" video, there is no such problem on the 2009 "Final Reunion" video. I have both on DVD and Blu Ray, and watched them several times with a good multi channel audio system (using KEF speakers).

I spoke with Roger Newell of the Wild Cats a few weeks after their Paladium gig marking Marty Wildes 50th aniversary! He said on that night he had acheived his life long ambition of playing with the Shadows! Of course Hank, Bruce, Brian, Jet and Licorace were all on stage together for the finale! Jet as we know later toured with Marty and Roger now plays Diamonds on their current gigs as a tribute to Jet!
