Where is that note? Is it the one at 1.46?

l was just listening to Richard Hawley's interviews of the Shadows; Brian May Is said to have noted (no pun intended) that one must play that note as recorded!

Regards,

Andy

I invariably miss that note, it's part of the record.

I've listened over the years but could never find which note it is supposed to be?
Sounds fine to me.

Sounds like as if hank was a little shaky at 1:46 ! I hear a note but we miss the clean intonation.
It may be that the digital technology reveals this errors mor than the vinyl recordings.

PS: the same is here at 1:41 .........

The bit nobody talks about in Man of Mystery is where Jet tries to bring it to an end a bar or two early!

You're right there Iain, in fact the whole of the last 15 seconds of Man of Mystery is a complete "flubb" all round. To me, that's what makes the song though. Andy, the word flubb stays in my muso dictionary from now on. :D

Do you mean the bassline primarily ? It`s not easy to follow the notes and I`m not
sure that they are right up to the last bar !

There is a missing note in Apache at .36
Don't know if that was intended because over the years I have seen Hank play it live many times and sometimes he plays it and sometimes he doesn't.

This is definitely the 'fluff' I've always associated with the track, coinciding with Bruce's augmented chord, and one which was as apparent to me on the original 1960 single as with all the digitally remastered CD reissues through the decades since.
