Specs Appeal concert for the JHMF on Jet’s birthday
Posted: 15 Apr 2013, 11:50We’re back at what’s become our ‘home’ venue, the Meridian Centre Community Hall in Peacehaven, on Saturday 6th July at 7:30 p.m. for a fundraising concert in aid of the Jet Harris Memorial Fund, on what would have been Jet’s 74th birthday.
The fact that we’re doing this on Jet’s birthday makes it quite a special event, and it would be great to see as many people there as possible to celebrate the life and achievements of the great man.
It will be a full two hour show with the opportunity for what has become a feature of our shows, the ‘Massed Shadows’ Walk’ during ‘Shadoogie’! More info about us, photos and sound files can be found on our website, www.specsappealband.co.uk.
Tickets are £8.50, call 01273 586986. Refreshments and snacks will be available, but bring your own alcohol- you’ll find the massed Shadows’ walk much more fun after one or two!
