Just bought The Shadows The Final Tour 2CD+DVD package from my local Asda for a fiver. Already got it (twice) on DVD and CD, but as soon as I saw it, I couldn't resist. Looking forward to opening it and listening and watching later. Be interesting to see/hear if there is any improvement over the original releases, which I have always thought were brilliant anyway!

Yes I've got the original releases but saw it in Asda this week and bought it under their 2 cd's for £9.00 so got it for £4.50, my wife had Police greatest hits to make it the 2 cd's

Chris, forgive me but I am genuinely puzzled. If the Asda DVD and CDs are the same as what you already have, what differences are you expecting?

Different packaging for a start!!!

Actually, one thing I will say is that I like the slightly tweaked redesign of the front cover - I think the text now looks better against the guitars/sticks graphic.

To answer your question, I am sure that I read somewhere on this site that the sound 'seems' to be better - although I can't remember if this is on the DVD or CDs. Having listened to CD1 last night, I can report that it sounds BRILLIANT and possibly slightly better than the original CDs. There 'seems' to be more power there and it is just like being there, in the front row, again! Obviously I might be mistaken, but so far I'd say that it was five pounds very well spent...

I have both the original Final Tour DVD and Blu Ray releases, and the sound is the same. I doubt there could have been any sound remastering or remixing for such budget reissues.
