Possible new club.

Would there be any interest in a new Shadows / Guitar Club very near to Newbury, Berkshire?

It would probably be on a Wednesday night in a hall close to the A34 with plenty of free parking.

It would be backing tracks initially due to the difficulty arranging a backline.

The hall is available but a club could only go ahead if enough players are interested.

I think it would depend who runs it, and how it's run....... :D A new club sounds good on the face of it....... ;)

Newbury would definitely get my vote....as I live in Thatcham!! Yes...Newbury...go for it!!!! Wednesday is my choral rehearsal night......but I would still be able to manage quite a few Wednesdays during the course of a year. Switch it to Tuesday or Thursday & I'd be at every meeting!!! Good luck with the project Peter as there is simply nothing at all in this area. It's a long way to go the nearest club....in fact, I'm not really sure which is the closest one. Wherever it is...it's not really close at all!!!!

Best wishes,

Rob :D

Cheers Rob,

It's all on if we can get enough bodies.

We have all the gear for the backing tracks and a choice of 2 AC30s.

Hi There!

I would be keen to attend, I am a keen bass player and can play most Shads tunes from the Jet era and I live in Basingstoke.

Thanks to all those who have expressed an interest.

The hall is available with a stage if we want to use it plus kitchen facilities so it would be a shame to lose it.

Come on, don't be shy, players needed of all standard to get this new club going.

Pete.

Where exactly is the hall? Do you have a proposed starting date?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your interest.

If we have enough players interested to start the club and make it viable, the venue is literally 2 minutes from the junction of the A34 with the A4.

Cheers,

Pete.
