Returned from Scarborough yesterday and wanted to say a BIG thank you to Ian, Linda, Terry, Les and all the good folks from the E Yorks Shadows club for putting on another top drawer weekend at the rugby club. We were treated to a variety of music from several bands and many individuals playing live and to BTs.
A special mention for Kevin our brilliant MC.
Nice to meet up with so many friends again especially pleasing to talk to Chris Jarvis, keep moving forward Chris.
This of course was preceded by an evening at Pickering Memorial Hall on Friday where about 100 people were entertained by Shadowsmusic and Shazam with Ian Geast, what a night.
A very personal thank you to Ian, Iain, John and Ian G for a great musical weekend, guys you are the best.
Finally thanks to Roger and crew from the southwest and to Dave Moore for asking me to accompany you on drums, it was a blast.

I'd like to join Ron in thanking Ian, Linda, Eric, Terry, Les, Kevin, and many others too numerous to mention on behalf of those of us that came up from the southwest.

Mr Alan Jones was on top form as usual along with many other musicians.

It was a terrific weekend and with the social activity involved it really would take some beating.

Thanks guys for the lovely comments, we enjoyed the weekend as well, due to all the organisers, who do a great job & work so hard in putting this event on, love the (crack) northern saying. The music & the socialising blend so well together, and Roger Alcock don't forget to get The Sound of Music together next time for Kevin Von Trapp, cos he'll have the full uniform together Ha-ha. What can I say but THANKYOU THANKYOU and THANKYOU to each and everyone of you at the Scarborough Gala Weekend for making it a great weekend for myself and especially the telephone call (which Jennie said brought a real big smile to Daves face talking to everyone he was quite flabergasted by it, but was very happy) and was still talking about it when i arrived back home to see him on Monday.Thankyou also for the donation which is being sent to Hospiscare in Exeter and a thankyou to Betty for the bottle of Whisky. Thanks to you all in the Shadows Family.xxxxxx It was a great weekend of Music by all the groups and individuals who played and Kevin your magic.
