ShadowsFix - would you buy a brochure?

Hi folks...

I'm looking into the possibility of having a full-colour A4 brochure made up for ShadowsFix, with either eight or twelve pages. Those who have seen our website, our leaflet and our tickets will already recognise we have established a recognisable brand and I'd love to extend this further. Again, as with the event as a whole, this would not be for profit - the price would be kept reasonable. Would this be something that would interest you?

J

PS: Tickets are still available. Email boxoffice@shadowsfix.co.uk or use the contact form on the website (http://www.shadowsfix.co.uk) to order.

I would buy one simply to support the event. I think the tickets are of a high standard and hope that the additional costs associated with the printing of same, doesn't affect the financial viability of the event as I'd hate to think that it might prevent further events taking place due to balance sheets issues. ;)

Only if there isn't a photo of Al Bakewell on the cover.

I'm not 100% sure about the necessity for a brochure. Bruce's Shadowmania booklets / leaflets were very perfunctory, b/w & free. Really - they only served as an 'aide memoire' - cum - timetable of events. I would think that Shadowsfix doesn't need any more than that - maybe not even that itself. 4 sides of A5 (just an A4 sheet folded & printed on both sides) would probably suffice. Keep costs to a minimum. I'm not sure that I would buy a brochure - but that's only one person's (mine) thoughts.

Bests....Rob :)

I agree with Rob and think that sales would be minimal.

Maybe if it came with a centrefold of Ecca you'd sell heaps!

Hi, Justin and everybody. Although I won't be able to attend ShadowsFix, I had an idea...I hope it's OK to submit it in this thread.

I was wondering if there would be a way to raise a little money for the Jet Harris Memorial Fund by offering (not exactly "selling") something with Jet's name or photo on it, for every contribution made to the Fund that weekend. I was thinking of perhaps a printed guitar pick with Jet's name, simulated signature, or the Fund's logo on it, if that could be approved by legal counsel for the Fund. For example, here is a website of a UK vendor who makes all sorts of custom printed guitar picks: http://www.printedguitarpicks.co.uk/ A guitar pick would be small enough that you can just put it in your pocket and not have to find a place at your table to set it down.

Thank you for listening. Best wishes with ShadowsFix. I know it's going to be great.

Kind regards,
Donna

A great idea that would work.
1) I have my own hair.
2) I have the gout.
3) I have the stomach for it.
