There are a group of people working on automation for the EtapHw already, I have all the bits to do it, but my first
one will be a hybrid version of Pancho's Etap...
That's one good thing about the Etap basic system it's fairly cheap so not too expensive to make more than one!!

Automation is already implemented! The application called 'automation' is based on Johan's program and extended by Philip and Steve. Presently the 'automation' is build around my universal I/O board that takes a couple of incarnations of his software.
My recommendation is to use the latest 'automation' since it is not only very advanced but also promoted to 'single point design' making it much easier to support since one configuration needs to be managed. A write-up procedure to build it is not yet available but possible available when the temperature drops and leaves are disconnecting from the trees. Some 'early adaptors' did build based on some schematics and handholding.
There are sufficient boards available to support about 12 implementations ( 3 are assigned already) before a move to a vendor is started.

There is presently one stompox build in the UK that's fortcoming. My code is also used by a firm in NY to be implemented into synth units.
