Blackpool Shadows Club

Since the demise of Shaddicts a few years ago, there has been no Shadows club in Lancashire, so I'm going to have a go at forming a club here in Blackpool starting in October.
The venue will be at the St Kentingerns Social Centre Newton Drive, Blackpool starting on Sunday October 20th 11am till around 4pm. there is a bar and, hopefully, some refreshments.
There will be a PA system and a Vox amp Qudraverb 2 ect. I'm new at this so any advice and encouragement would be apprieciated. Cheers Terry Devon

Good luck with your venture Terry.
I do hope people will volunteer to help you . I can tell you from experience that there's a lot more to setting up and running a club than most people realize.
I certainly couldn't run North Notts on my own and both Ian (who helped start the club and still works hard helping run it) and myself are very grateful for all
the help afforded us by the members.

Thanks Pete, Hopefully I will have the help and advice of some of the ex Shaddicts members including Kevin Harris who, as you know has acted as compare

Great idea. All being well, I will be there, with my Bass amp and guitar, for those who want to play "live". Have you got a drummer lined up? I am seeing one later, and he may be interested, as well as the rest of the group I play with.
It is very hard to start a club up, so I wish you well with it, and, as my Mother lives in Blackpool, I will be over as often as I can to support you. I was lucky to inherit a going club in Congleton, with quite a few "regulars", including a few former "Shaddicts".

An ex Shaddicts member will be there who is a drummer but has long since sold up and retired.

I am expecting some support from friends who used to attend the Shaddicts club in Manchester,
as well as interest from this website, also they will be giving me some tips on running the club, but the more the merrier.
I'm expectiong a reasonable turn out all being well.

I shall post a reminder next month.
