NEW CLUB NEAR SLEAFORD - FIRST NIGHT BOOKED !

Postby 47guitarman » 03 Sep 2013, 16:20

Hi everybody,
I have had enough interest to go ahead and book a date for the first meeting.
It is Wednesday 2nd October in the Helpringham Memorial Hall from 7:30pm to 10:30pm

The address is :
The Green
Helpringham
Sleaford
Lincolnshire
NG34 0RJ

Directions :
Turn off B1394 in centre of village, opposite The Nag's public house. Take the road sign-posted to South Fen by the village green. Bear right and the Memorial Hall is on the right. It is only a matter of yards from The Nags and you can see the hall from the village green.

There is limited parking at the hall itself, but plenty on the grass verge outside and on the road, which is not busy.

Please bring your own refreshments for this first meeting (of course the pub is only 50 yards away.....)

I have had offers from bass guitarists and drummers, but suggest we limit the first meeting to backing tracks to see how we get on.

Looking forward to seeing as many people as possible.

Regards, Dave

All the very best with it Dave. I have no doubt you will make it a great occasion. I hope all Shads fans and players for whom a Sleaford (ish) evening is a practical possibility will give it a go.

All the best! Iain

Good luck with this new venture from the Newbury Shadows Guitar Club.

Having just started our one, I know the amount of time that it takes to set it up but to be able to provide the facilities for like minded Shadows fans to "have a go", no matter what their playing ability is, makes it all worthwhile.

I hope that your first meeting goes well and long may the club continue helping to keep the music alive.

Pete.

Good Luck Dave for the new club, have been trying to rustle up interest for you, round your area. Lic's sister lives near so have told them as their friends are into guitar playing. Terry Devon is trying to start a new North-west club in Blackpool on the 20th October, so everyone's trying to keep the music alive. Wish you every success. Kev & Bren

Thanks everybody for your encouragement and support.
I just hope the date and time are convenient for most people, our village hall is quite well used in the evenings so there was not a lot of choice.
Hoping to see as many people as possible on the night.
Regards, Dave
