Cliff & The Shads pics from Rotterdam

Cliff & The Shadows have left our country again, and oh dear.. what a shame!!! Two shows at the Ahoy Hall sure wasn't enough
Before they came over to Holland I attended their show in Brussels. I'd received the DVD the day before so I watched it before going to the concert... yup I just couldn't wait anymore! Rob & myself attended the show in Brussels which was brilliant and even better then expected! Cliff spoke a few sentences in Dutch and French and so did Hank (in French). They played SUPERB and Cliff's voice was GREAT!
I really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to see them again in Rotterdam!
I was lucky as I'd managed to book front row tickets for the first show and 2nd row tickets for the second show, so I just had the best view ever!
Both nights were absolutely GREAT, the crowd (8.500 each night) were treated to what I think was their best performance ever (my humble opinion). The boys were clearly enjoying every second and the crowd was enthusiastic, although I have to say they were more enthusiastic on the 11th. On the 10th we didn't really know what the security was going to be like... but in fact they were pretty cool and even allowed us to stand up during the Rock 'n' Roll songs! Yup not something you do when sitting at the front row.... but atleast the people behind me were cheering and dancing!
The second night was totally different. The audience sang along, people cheered and most people got up on their feet dancing during most of the 'uptempo' songs. Cliff & The Shads clearly enjoyed it! The look on Bruce's face when he started clapping before starting to play FBI... the crowds reaction was just amazing everyone clapped along and got up out of their seats they got a real standing ovation!
Well, there's nothing more to say about the concert I think... I mean it was just SUPERB!
I had the pleasure of meeting the boys after the shows and they were all happy with the shows and the crowds reaction, the best ever they said!
Cliff who has experienced a crowd as such before, said this is what Holland is like, they always are enthusiastic but tonight's crowd was absolutely GREAT! You all went mad!

Anyway... I took quit a few pics and have now uploaded the first bunch. The pics are from the 11th (2nd show), more pics will follow...

PS: I didn't upload them in high quality as that takes too long to download when viewing a slideshow, but quality is still ok.
