What can I say? I am almost lost for words. Almost...

Just had an extraordinary week, working as production assistant on the filming of rehearsals and the first ever performance of David Soames and Alan Hawkshaw's new musical, BERLIN. It was astounding. Astounding.

I had the great pleasure of seeing it develop before my very eyes from a small rehearsal room in Islington to the Bloomsbury Theatre last night. It was an overwhelming experience.

The cast and performances were absolutely incredible. I was blown away by it. I interviewed Alan at the end of the show and he told me that it had been the best night of his life. He was quite emotional. As was everyone. It was a privilege to have been there. I also got to talk briefly to Brian Bennett, on camera, and Don Black.

I am convinced that it will become a huge West End and Broadway hit.

It was a huge honour to have been there at the beginning and helped out, albeit in a very small way.

Chris.

I shall post some photos when I get them!

One has a photo of Brian with actress/singer Celia Graham who played 'The Diva'. She was absolutely stunning!!!! There is also a thumbs up and a message from Brian on one of them too. Some great pics of the evening.

As I say, it was an absolutely INCREDIBLE night and one that EVERYONE involved will remember. Hopefully the full-length behind the secnes documentary, which will be very, very revealing, will be along very soon...

Cheers Alan. An amazing night and a great privilege for me to have been involved, albeit in a very minor way.
