Dear friends,
It is with great sadness that I give you news of our dear friend David Harrison . His wife Carol has asked that I let you all know that Dave passed away peacefully early yesterday morning. David was a kind, true gentleman, a friend to all, who loved his music and made so many friends whilst playing his drums. As a member of the Shadows Guitar Club East Yorkshire he was well known whilst playing for the bands of Shadows Music , The Fentone Four, and Jigsaw as well as stepping in whenever he was needed to drum in other bands. I know that Ian and I will miss him so much as many of you will and we have been privileged to have known such an amazing person. We send all our love to Carol at this time.

This is a sad loss indeed. I had the pleasure of playing Shadows music with David many times at various clubs and events over the years and he was one of the nicest blokes you could ever wish to meet. He always gave 110% with his music and we shared many a laugh over the years. I heard of his illness a few months back so sent my regards via MC Kevin but always hoped I would see David again one day. My heart goes out to Carol and the family, it's a sad, sad day.

RIP David

Such sad news, I knew David as a fellow drummer and he was a true gentleman in every way. Always willing to help others, and a dry wit as well.
He will be sadly missed by many and my thoughts are with Carol and her family at this time.
God Bless Dave R.I.P

If I may add something.
Recently Shazam went to the care home where Dave was staying and we did a mini concert for the residents. The highlight was when Dave took over the drums and played 2 numbers with the lads, a memory that will stay with me forever. I know the other band members will agree.

our paths only crossed a few times, but I can echo the sentiments above. Dave always had time for a word or two , and he was always cheerful and friendly. Condolences to his family and friends.

We can only echo what everyone else says. Dave was a true gentleman and great drummer. He would call here sometimes when he was working in Bury, and it was great to see him. He never had a bad word about anyone, and was always a true professional. It was a privilege to have such good friends as Dave & Carol. He will be sadly missed.
Our sincere thoughts are with Carol, Jenny, Mark & the grandchildren. God Bless you all.
