RHYTHM MAGAZINE/221

Postby drakula63 » 26 Sep 2013, 14:25

Remember a couple of months back there was a readers poll in 'RHYTHM', the drummers' magazine, of the 25 greatest rhythm sections of all time? And you'll also remember that I was very unhappy (as were a few others) that none of the Shads' exemplary rhythm sections were featured?

Well, I have an email printed in the latest issue (October #221) which tells them in no uncertain terms that this is a shameful omission! If anyone's interested, it's in the shops now. I shall upload a scan of the 'letters page' as soon as I can...

Well written Chris.

Thanks for taking the time to write in to the magazine mentioning both the Harris/Meehan and Bennett/Rostill line ups.

Cheers.

Yeah, they HAD to be mentioned as it seemed to me that the current readers of the magazine had VERY SHORT memories!!! I'd put Bennett and Rostill way above Starr and McCartney any day of the week. And where would ANY of them have been without Jet and Tony? I think these people should listen to a few more records before casting their votes!!!
