Saw them in Milngavie last night...
Guitar playing of the highest standard. Jazz, pop, an incredible version of Apache, Ventures medley, jazzed up classics, gypsy swing with the fiddle player from the support act.
They have a few more UK dates so if you get the chance, go and see them. You will not be disappointed...

I have tickets to see them at the Studio - The Hawth, Crawley, this coming Sunday. Really looking forward to it. I saw them perform at the Hawth back in 2010 when they were the warm up act for Tommy Emmanuel and they were amazing.

The Ventures medley was WDR, Perfidia, It's only a paper moon and back to WDR...
They also did a Shadows walk while playing 'Walking on the moon' !!
Apache was unbelievable.

It's Joscho Stephan, a German gypsy jazz guitarist.

Went to The Hawth Theatre in Crawley (Sussex) last night to see these two guys. A superbly entertaining evening and they were in great form. For those not familiar with the Hawth it is a great facility with a large stage / auditorium for main shows and a "Studio" for more intimate performances. The studio used to include typical banked rows of seats but about two years ago they took these out and replaced them with free standing tables and chairs. The only problem with this is that there is no reserved seating and it becomes a bit of a bun fight to grab the best location to watch the show!
During the performance they played their version of Apache. Frank spoke of meeting Hank during a recent tour of Australia and how they spent some time playing gypsy jazz together.
The good news for those interested in seeing Frank and Vinny here in Sussex is that they are planning a return for next year and are looking to set up two back to back shows at the Hawth. Worth keeping an eye on their web-site and getting on the mailing list for the Hawth.
