Hi Geoff,
So nice to see you and really glad that you enjoyed the evening. There might not have been many of us but I think everyone had a good time and certainly Jackie, Chris and myself very much enjoy having the club. It's nice that people can come and do something like Dave and Russell did with their sort of country stuff and provided nobody does heavy metal or rap, I personally think its fine. It's different and I hope it helps to make for a nice atmosphere where nobody cares if they play the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.
Looking forward to seeing you next month.
Pete

Hi Pete
Is December 2nd on?
If so, it is time I did some song learning, especially as I have only once before tried some Shadows to backing tracks! I will bring my own guitar this time, it will be interesting to see what a Strat with a stacked humbucker set sounds like through your Vox!
I will bring along backing tracks to "Atlantis", "FBI", "Geronimo", "I Only Want to be With You" (yes yes I know - but of a cheat), "Midnight", "Perfidia", "Shindig", "The Rise and Fall of Flingel Blunt" and "The Theme From Shane". Some obvious ones I know but must start somewhere. I will of course only do what there is time for to allow plenty of time for others and in any case, what of that set I can learn to do a version of in a week.
In addition, and in some ways more important, (and I hope this is OK and in keeping with your club - tell me if it is not - no probs), Russell will learn some Cliff. I have downloaded a small set of 5 Cliff and the boys backing tracks with lead guitar and without lead guitar - I'll see which I can try to add lead guitar to - but whatever - this means my singing pardner can sing on out.
All backing tracks will be on CD-R (and also on my small tablet - I'll have various connectors for that, just in case).
Bye the way, I found your old band in my "Rare 60's Beat Treasures" bootleg set. Good band. You must have good musical memories of playing with them.
What do you plan to do for January if anything?
Cheers
Dave
