Hi,
Anyone know the value of the two Japanese 10" Lp's - What Mysterious Sounds & Guitar Tango?

Hi Mark,
It's nearly impossible to put a VALUE to the two records as they are offered only very rarely and I have never watched one being sold. So I cannot say a price someone HAS paid for it. I prefer to say that they are worth what someone is acutally paying for it. What does it help if there is something with a value of xxx and nobody is willing to pay this amount?
I have seen them offered first some 20 years ago in near mint condition for around GBP 500 for 'What's Mysterious Sounds' and GBP 300 for 'Guitar Tango'. This dealer had them for offer for some three years without selling them. I then lost contact so I don't know whether he has finally sold them for what price. They have been on eBay not too long ago for US$ 3,999 and US$ 2,999 - if I remember the prices correctly, but they were not sold, at least not via eBay.
I am a die-hard collector of Shadows records worldwide and both records are missing from my collection. FOR ME they are not worth what potential sellers have been asking, but there will certainly be other collectors with a different opinion.
I am sorry that I cannot be of more help. If I would have them and wanted to sell them I would put them for auction with a reserve.
Ulrich
