Hi again - I'm going by my photographic memory of the Strats I saw (and rarely played!) in 1962, not photos. The trouble is, only I can see the colour! (One of my hobbies is also photography so I know how difficult it is to portray a particular colour accurately on paper or on screen.) "Flamingo Pink" I would call them! Not really quite that pink as I saw some Flamingoes in the Camargue quite recently. Probably a cross between that and Salmon. The nearest I've seen to this early "mistake" Strat colour was a recent Squier - no idea which issue though. Not important to me as I can see the colour in front of me! If I liked it enough I would go to my local paint shop, find some colour swatches, get the colour mixed and spray one of my budget Strat copies!
Contentious? Moi?
THIS IS CLOSE!
