Wendy Riley
Posted: 24 May 2011, 21:47A long shot this but, in '69 I played my first summer season at Pontins Camber Sands.
The main showband was probably around a 12 piece with a girl singer, the band was The Steve Stevenson Show Band, they also played all of the USAF bases in East Anglia.
Wendy was one of our gang and we continued our friendship long after the season ended, but through various moves we lost touch.
I'm not sure Riley was her real surname, but it could have been, she came from Gantshill / Clayhall in Ilford, apart from singing she also played Sax, she'd be about 60 - 65 now.
I don't suppose anybody on here has come across her or better still has any current contact details?
