Thanks very much for your input and comments Dave, i have just bought an S500 in that blueburst colour, cant wait to get it to see how it compares with my G&L tribute legacy.

I always thought that the Legacy had similar controls to the S-500
Leo used the proper tone circuit on all models, it's just the pickups that were different.
I used my S-500 at last night's gig and played Midnight, The Stranger, Frightened City & Going Home to great acclaim from Shads fans in the audience. That'll do for me.
