I'm not sure how we managed it but this thread is almost back on track.

It started having a pop at Cliff, then moved on to the Site Header, Free Speach, The Yanks, Harry Hill, Custard, Spelling, Lead Guitar, Gerry Marsden, Mark Griffiths, Big Jim Sullivan, Straps and Barre Chords, The Joys Tony had playing in Hamburg, Who should play Bass on Tour and finally being at Sea.

All we need now is for someone to mention Tommy Steele who was in somebody's navy, he must have known Cliff Richard and there you go, back to the start.

Why do we need all the other sections when we've got this one :D

Cheers

I'm not a huge Cliff fan but I've always liked him and I don't think he comes across as arrogant. I feel very fortunate to have attended two of the Cliff+Shadows shows bearing in mind I'm 46 and they were entertaining people with rock 'n' roll five years before I was born. I don't know how anyone should feel a need to criticise any aspect of the presentation at all.

Thinking about it the sailors hornpipe/blue Peter theme/Captain Pugwash would make a great guitar instrumental!
