I wish I could have met him, but I wasn't born yet in 1973. I have my greenburst Burns Shadows bass, handmade by Barry Gibson to remember John and of course all the great music he contributed to.

I can still remember hearing about his passing. I was in Record Scene (Chertsey branch) and the manager came over to tell me the sad news as he knew I was a Shadows fan.

I have to say john was my favourite Bass player .
I was born in 68 same year as the shadows split up.
Jaguar launch the wonderful XJ series 1 . I loved the way john played his bass . A much missed shadow
