Reminds me of a classical concert I attended years ago at the Victoria Hall, Hanley. We had a brilliant rendition of "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" and for the only time I can remember at a classical concert the pianist received a standing ovation and actually did an encore. The following evening in the local paper, the music critic was not impressed by this guys playing and gave a pretty bad review - obviously the whole of the audience was wrong - or did this critic actually attend? I think I will go by audience reaction, after all we are the ones that pay to attend!
