David Martin wrote:Forums (?) have by no means "had their day"... the Net is littered with places where folks exchange info about their specialist areas and engage in international contact. As far as I am concerned, this place exists to serve the interests of those folks who love this music, to help them achieve their musical ambitions, to link them with each other, and to promote that old fashioned thing, fellowship... and whilst there's two of us still standing... :geek:

I'm delighted with the membership here, and the way in which the site has become so active. I like the way it feels ... colours? Just wait...

p.s. All those of you who want to snog Ecca, please form a orderly queue just overt there... behind the bushes.

David ,
I've done many things in my time connected to the great music we all admire BUT I draw the line at the thought, even a hint of snogging Ecca!!! put me off me breakfast that has

Gulp !
I was only kidding you know ....

I am happy to be here for the same reason I'm happy to go to the Hankies on Tuesdays.... because I feel that I'm amongst my own kind.
I'm not that good on football, I don't go fishing but I like the Shadows and I like playing guitar and whether or not it's all been said before is irrelevant.

Now then about this snogging..... GIRLS ONLY... form a queue.

And since when has 'snogging' been an active verb ?
You don't 'snog' someone.... you snog with them, it's a passive verb.

I would just like to thank everybody involved in the new site, I personally think it is great and being a Shads fan since 1959 and hope to keep going for another few years yet, I am grateful for anything that keeps me informed about my favourite group. Thanks to you all.

Jim :P

Hi I don't feel anything pessimistic about this new place. "The Shadows Music". There was nothing wrong with the last one and I feel that this one will go from strength to strength. Everything is looking very positive and if all the members and potentail new ones who come along loook at the positive side instead of taking a pessimistic look at life, then this site wiil continue to be superb.

Don't worry Steve, I'm sure we will all do our best to make this place look and feel like "Home Sweet Home!"
