Hi, I'm another that had a bee in his bonnet about this tune, and used to pester the life out of cinema staff every time it came on, in an effort to find out what it was called & who recorded it. Always with the same result . they didn't know as it was part of the in house promotion music for, as Jim said in the other post ABC's "Showtime" magazine, and Ice Cream & drinks available in the foyer of the cinema. It wasn't until one Christmas, while standing on a chair putting up decorations, that it came on Radio Luxemborg (the only time I ever recall it being played!) After nearly breaking my neck getting off that chair in my haste to find a pencil, I finally found out who did it, and it was down to my nearest record shop the following day to order a copy ...... I still have it!
