Shadows Door Bell!!!!

Hi All,

As a follow on from The topic "Mobile Shadows Ringtone", there is a doorbell made by Friedland called the "MyChime", where you can record around 30 seconds on any MP3, Midi or Wav file onto the enclosed USB stick and Voila you have the music for your doorbell, this model also includes chimes, is wire free, has a range of around 150 m (so they say) and has adjustable volume.

Comes with a mini (windows 2000/XP - works with Vista (not suitable for Mac)) programme for the computer and is very simple to use.

I got mine at the local B&Q, which appeared to be one of the cheapest outlets at around £32.

What a great idea! Why not take it further and have a separate tune that could be chosen by each visitor depending on who or what they are?

Thus, there could be buttons for

A Stranger

A Savage

An Apache

A War Lord

Dear Old Mrs Bell

etc

I expect Humbrol do a "Fiesta Red" . . . remember Humbrol (if you made Airfix kits back in the old days!!!)

I did consider using "It'll be me", and "Keep on Knocking", but went back to a Shads tune, probably finish up with a different tune every day, and confuse everybody.

Doesn't seem to be vailable on this side of the Channel.

I don't know if there is French branch of Amazon, but it is available through them at -

It is certainly more expensive than it was at B&Q here, but it may have been a "lost leader".
