John We were'nt all at the 25th Anniversary concert so how can We know better and obviously you were one of those at the front being inconciderate in standing. And as for there was more people enjoying dancing as is complaining on here not all that was forced to stand to be able to see are members here. It only takes the first rows or rows to stand to start it all off. regards Ken

you are totally wrong we always go for the tiers, as we were at the O2. I had fabulous seats on the first tier, 3 rows up right against the stage right hand corner.

I suggest all the people who don't want to hear people singing and dancing to the music - DON'T GO TO A CLIFF CONCERT . Buy the DVD make sure the grandchildren aren't visting (or they may dance in front of the television) and watch it at home. The fans have been doing it since he started in 1958 and will continue to do so

John,
I don't think anyone minds people singing and dancing, I'm sure the point is where they actually do the dancing. The management, knowing the type of music, should anticipate this setting a portion aside for people who want to dance, they do that all the time with other pop acts, the singing is no problem, the actual problem is doing it in the seating area and blocking the veiw. Don't forget there is going to be a lot of people between the age of 60-70 who have walking and standing difficulties and need to be seated. I think when a couple have paid £130'ish its not on.

The Cliff fans have been regularly attending all his concerts all his showbiz life spending many thousands of pounds - just because some Shads fans are attending the concert, doesn't mean there going to change their approach and I'm in my sixties

John it's NOT just shads fans that are unhappy there are complaints on cliff's fansite aswell or do you like just winding people up some of your comments are a bit antagarnist. If dancing is to be allowed there should be a dance floor provided and if there was I am sure YOU would complain if people came and sat in the middle.Regards Ken

This is wearing a bit thin now don't you all think ?

When you go to a pop concert it's quite normal to see folks up dancing at the front or in their seats, I don't like it either if I'm trying to watch, but we have to learn to accept it. The answer is simple, just don't buy tickets in front of the stage section. It's now become boring as well as making me feel embarrassed about being 'pigeon holed ' with you lot . . . . . :(

By the way, you'll be pleased to know that the correct screws are fitted to the handles on the JMI amplifiers . . . . . . I would have been really upset had they not.

Is anyone familiar with the seating layout at Cardiff? It looks from the web as though there is a centre section for those who wish to stand with tiered seating around the edges. Can anyone confirm? I'm really hoping I don't have to suffer the behaviour of inconsiderates :?

The thing is that EVERYBODY has the right to enjoy themselves, not just a few at the expense of others. Personally I think it's great for the atmosphere and the band to see people dancing, singing along and doing their routines, but it needs a bit of thought beforehand by the organisors/venue. Perhaps an area in the front where punters can do exactly that and know that's the area for it; and the seats behind which accomodate others (who've paid good money as well) who can't/don't want to or of short stature etc are either set back enough to see over the heads or are raised. Just a bit of sense over seat profit bearing in mind the expected audience profile. Player

I attended one of Hank's solo concerts at Symphony Hall in the 90s and Cliff made a guest appearance towards the end of the show. My enjoyment of that concert was ruined because Cliff fans surrounding me spent the whole time talking until Cliff came on stage. Even when I asked them to be quiet, so I could listen to the music, they refused. Some Cliff fans are a law unto themselves and they don't care about anything so long as they have a good time.

I was disappointed not to be able to get a ticket for the reunion concerts (it's the first time in over 30 years that I wont see The Shadows in Birmingham) but now I think I will enjoy the DVD more.

Best Wishes
