Well - some of you know that I do sing a bit! I've recently joined a Berkshire group - The Choice (the name isn't my idea). The group is re - forming following the departure of various people (for genuine reasons). The drummer (who used to run / own Replay Records in Reading) Martyn is the only surviving member. I am on lead vocs. We have recruited Martin Paine on lead guitar (who, coincidentally, is a BIG Hank / Shadows fan)...but we need a bass guitarist (backing vocs an asset). It's NOT a Shads band - but purely 60s covers(Beatles / F Mac / Stones / Move / Small Faces / Who / Searchers / Hollies / Kinks / Motown etc., etc). This is a paying job (pubs, clubs, functions etc). Our first gig (following the 'Reformation') is coming up on October 9th. So...if there's anyone out there who might be interested - or anyone who knows someone who might fit the bill....then please PM me. Before the other members left...The Choice played 11 gigs between Jan 22nd & May 11th. 6 other bookings (June - Sept) had to be cancelled. Rehearsals tend to be in the Maidenhead area. Most gigs tend to be in the Reading / Maidenhead / Henley / High Wycombe / Stokenchurch type of area.
