Shadows - The Burns Years - booklet

Postby hoffers » 21 Sep 2010, 20:39

Hello all,

I've just published in full colour, a 48 page booklet about The Shadows' Burns period from 1963 to 2009.
First came out in black & white in 2007 but now in glorious colour, revised layout and with the latest updates.
Text written by our good friend George Geddes.
Packed with photos, a must for any Shadows fan and Burns connoisseur.

£5.99 plus £1 postage (UK) £2 (overseas)

Available directly from me at:

legacyguitarman@hotmail.com

or on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT

Look forward to hearing from you

Looks like a good book to have, can I just ask Tony why did you not use a photo of one of the Marvin 2004 Anniversary models for the cover picture ?

The photo on the cover is a close-up of my own guitar and captures the look I wanted for the front cover. The back cover features the red Shadows Custom Guitar.
Not sure it really matters, though.

As usual, Tony has come up with a very fine publication. Really enjoyed reading it.

Is there much difference between this and the first publication? There were a couple of minor errors in the first edition, but I didn't think it justified a new publication (unless I missed something).

Hi Alan,

The first edition was limited to 500 copies and they sold quickly leaving a few people without.
Now it is published in colour throughout and George Geddes has added a couple of lines of text to the original.
Not aware of any errors myself, perhaps GG is the man to ask.

cheers

Just bought a copy off eBay (saves me all the hassle of having to write/post a cheque, etc...!!!!). I'm sure it will make a great addition to the collection. And will go well with all the other weird and wonderful eBay purchases I have made!

Look forward to receiving it in due course.
