Paperback, 690 pages

Price: £17.99
Sir Cliff Richard has been at the top of the music business for over fifty years. Very little is available on the songs that he has performed and recorded. This unauthorized book addresses this and looks at the stories and facts behind the wealth of music that Cliff has recorded in the studio, for the theatre and films and live in concert. In addition, it explores some of the incredible facts and achievements of Britain's first and foremost rock 'n' roller: * Where his 140 single releases charted * Information on his 50 studio albums and some of the important compilations * Cliff's excursions into theatre and films * His catalogue of foreign language releases * The extensive list of duets and collaborations * Cliff's secondary careers as a songwriter and producer * The top one hundred songs with different, unique recordings * Cliff's many EP releases * And much more This is an encyclopaedic work; if you are looking for pictures of Sir Cliff Richard, there are other publications available.

Anybody know anything about this author does he have access to records that we don't know about ?

The book’s sources are all in the public domain – web sites like allmusic, the late William Hooper’s Cliff site, Robert Porter’s Cliff site, and books like those of Steve Turner & Lewry/Goodall.

Oops, "public domain" wasn't the right technical term to use here. What I meant was that the book draws from previously published, either in print or online, sources.

Hi All

Thanks for letting me know about this book.

It arrived yesterday.

Yes, it is taken from books already out there (and web sites), but an exellent book, very well put together.

Plenty of detail, lots of info on the writers, producers etc, of Cliffs material, which obvously includes the Shadows in their song writing/producer role.
